Why We Built SalaryInsight
If you have ever searched for salary information in India, you know the frustration. Existing platforms either hide data behind login walls (forcing you to share your own salary before seeing anything), show you vague ranges without context (what does “4-12 LPA” even mean for a 3-year experienced engineer in Pune?), or recycle outdated numbers from years ago.
We built SalaryInsight because India deserves a salary resource that is genuinely free, deeply detailed, and written with real opinions rather than corporate neutrality. When we say a particular company underpays for a role, we say it. When we think a career path is overhyped relative to its financial rewards, we say that too. Every guide on this site has a verdict section because you came here for answers, not just data.
How We Get Our Data

Publicly available data: Annual reports of listed companies, recruitment advertisements, placement reports from educational institutions, and data from professional networking platforms.
Community-sourced verification: We cross-reference our data with salary information shared by professionals in public forums, social media, and industry communities to ensure our ranges reflect current market reality.
